3 Months

During the first quarter of my IMD major, we were assigned groups and tasked to create a prototype and redesign the original site of KCACP. Something that we all agreed upon redesigning was the menu bar and change it so that the menu bar is more efficient and easy to find information. We also wanted to make the site more modern but still wanted to keep the pictures and different aspect of the site that represented King County and its community.

Prototype

We used both Wix and Figma for this project over the three months and created a menu prototype in Figma. We also discussed and collaborated in Figma and putting all of our ideas together, we also wanted to show some of the interaction through Wix. As a team, we did have conflicting ideas and visions for the site so Figma was a great tool to figure out both the aesthetic and functions. Below are some of the prototype screenshots:

Reflection

This was actually my first team project as I got to figure out how to balance our ideas and work as a creative design team! This is where I learned about wireframes and we started learning together what interactions may help users navigate the sites more easily.
